Not the repair disk, no way to reset anything. Again, drive locked. Tried all the advanced options. The only consistent message is Windows did not install correctly, try again. I have done this 6 times. I had MS contact me each time. They tell me it is my computer, take it to the shop or replace the hard drive. Twice they said hold and they would get an expert to help. Each time the line went dead. Call back, another person and explain it all over again. Finally I got fed up and told them where to go.
I honestly do not know if there is some hardware problem or not. I am tired of dealing with this. Obviously, I want 8.
I have 3 other computers currently running Win 8. I purchased with Win 8 repair disk. I also have Office SO, I use MS products a lot and expect more from them. Since you have a retail license for Windows 8 Pro already, use the new and improved Upgrade Assistant to download a copy of Windows 8.
